Thank you so much for spending time volunteering for the children of GES! Please don't forget to log all of your volunteer time whether you're working in the classroom, at home, or on a PTA related project. Logged hours are reported to the district monthly and can help us earn grants and special awards and recognition.

At the school, the easist way is to log on to the computer in the office as a "Volunteer" when you are working. I will run a report at the end of each month to pull everyone's hours.  If you forget to do this you can enter your time manually on the office computer (Mike or Lori can assist you the first time) or on this gespta.org site by selecting "Add New Record" below "Volunteer Hours"on the Volunteer page. Fill out the form and press Update.  I will add those hours into my report each month. 

As an incentive each month we will recognize a "Volunteer of the Month" with a nice little incentive - the coveted Volunteer of the Month Parking Spot. This parking space is located on the front row right next to the PTA President's Reserved Parking Place and can be very nice when the parking lot is FULL! So please turn in your hours. We can only report RECORDED VOLUNTEER HOURS :-)

Volunteer Background Check Form Online Only for 2011-2012

In the interest of safety and security for students and employees, GCISD requires an annual criminal history check on all Volunteer applicants before campus access is allowed.  Everyone must complete the Volunteer Background Check process before volunteering at GES in any manner, even class parties and field trips. Please go to and complete the online process, even if you completed the process last year. Only applications filed online after August 1, 2011 will be considered current for the 2011-2012 school year.
