GES families, we hope you will help us reach this year's $35,000 fundraising goal by supporting our 2025 Fun Run! By teaming up with Get Movin’©, this event promises to be a fun and easy way to raise important funds for our school while enjoying this special GES tradition. Students will solicit one time gifts, or donations, from friends and family which are meant to encourage and support students as they work toward their fitness goals. Gifts will be generated and tracked using the simple, online, Get Movin' platform and student incentives will be monitored and delivered by our amazing PTA team.

By raising $35,000 we hope to support our teachers and staff by gifting GES $10,000 of the funds raised to support teacher and staff professional development and the GES student activity fund. The remaining goal of $25,000 will go to support our staff appreciation efforts, literacy fund,  and many community programs and student advocacy efforts which include but are not limited to our BooHoo Yahoo Breakfast, Back to School Bash, Carnival, Family Movie Night, Classroom Parties, Dads Club, Family Art Night, Steam Fair, and Field Day! We couldn't support and care for our students and staff without the generosity of the GES Community. We look forward to another year of supporting our families and an amazing 2025 Fun Run!

• Fun Run Important Dates:
  • February 28-March 13th: Register, accept donations, and complete the fitness goal form.
  • March 13th:
    • Donations are due by 12:00 AM (midnight) on 3/13/25 to be considered for incentives! Please send cash and check donations along with the provided form to teachers. Checks can be made payable to GES PTA.  
    • Fun Run is on March 13th! Each grade level will participate in the Fun Run during their Specials time. Families are invited to attend and participate in a family walking lap. 

• Student Incentives: 

  • 1. Create your Fundraising Website:  you will receive one Croc charm bracelet.
  • 2. Raise $25:  you will receive one groovy Sparkle Croc charm (see image).
  • 3. Raise $50:  you will receive one far-out Sparkle water bottle sticker (see image).
  • 4. Raise $100:  for every $100 you raise you will receive one entry into our Family Fun Giveaway! 

• Group Incentives:

1. Top Fundraising Class from each grade:  the class that raises the most money will get a pizza and popsicle party!
2. NEW School-wide incentive:  when we meet our goal, ALL students will get to attend an extra-special show during the school day!

Katie Massimi did a fabulous job coordinating our 2024 Fun Run and serving as our 2023-2024 Athon Chair!

The weather forced the 2024 Fun Run indoors, but the students didn't mind. Everyone had an absolute blast running through the halls of the school!
